Puerto de Mogán: A Little Colour from Gran Canaria

During our September 2026 trip to Gran Canaria, we visited Puerto de Mogán, and I’ve put together a short video to share a glimpse of it. Travel videos make lovely keepsakes, especially once the suitcases are unpacked and everyday routines have resumed. This one adds another little piece of our holiday to The Vibrant Life.

Puerto de Mogán is a coastal town in southern Gran Canaria, with a harbour, marina and small canals running beside its waterfront buildings. Those canals have helped earn it the nickname “Little Venice.” The setting brings together the appeal of a seaside destination and the details that make a town enjoyable to explore.

One of the pleasures of visiting somewhere unfamiliar is having a reason to look more closely. Buildings, boats and little corners of a town become part of the experience, rather than scenery we pass on the way to something else. Recording a few moments gives us a way to revisit those details later.

I enjoy sharing these smaller travel memories alongside the other subjects I write about here. Travel gives us fresh perspectives, but it also offers the simple pleasure of seeing somewhere different and having something to remember together. A short video can preserve a little of that experience without needing to tell the entire story of a holiday.

Take a moment to enjoy this glimpse of Puerto de Mogán. It’s another memory from our time in Gran Canaria, and a welcome change of scenery whenever the day needs one.
